A number of fully accredited schools have accepted students with credits and/or degrees from The Door of Favor Theological Seminary. For a list of schools that have accepted our students’ degrees in the past, please call our offices. Transference of credit cannot be guaranteed as all credit transfers are at the discretion of the accepting institutions.
Government Status Recognition – State of Florida
The Door of Favor Theological Seminary is officially recognized by the Florida Department of Education as a registered non-profit religious institution in the State of Florida.
In accordance with Section 1005.06(1)(f) of the Florida Statutes, the seminary is acknowledged for meeting the requirements set forth for religious educational institutions. This recognition affirms the seminary’s legal status and its commitment to offering faith-based theological education under the guidelines established by the state.

The Door of Favor Theological Seminary is proud to be a fully registered Theological Seminary and Religious Institution.
Under Florida Statute 1005.6 (1)(f) and Rule 6E-5.001 DOFTS is recognized as an Independent Educational Organization given the right to offer educational programs and grant degrees in all of the following professional and vocational categories and more:
Ministry, Counseling, Theology, Divinity, Education, Administration, Music, Fine Arts, Media, Communications, and Social Work. We are approved to grant Arts and Science Degrees on all levels such as Associate (A.A. & A.S.), Bachelor ( B.A. & B.S.), Master (M.A. & M.S.), and Doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D).
And all of our programs are based on Religious and Professional Studies perspectives.
All of our programs are consistent with commission standards and we are committed to excellence and high quality in educational service. The Door of Favor Theological Seminary is with the Florida State Commission for Independent Education as a Biblical Teritiary Institution that has met the requirements of state law to operate as an Approved and Exempt Religious Institution.
According to the Florida State Department Of Education Commission The Door of Favor Theological Seminary and other Independent Religious Institutions are not required to seek government oversight because we are under the State Law governing “Independent” Colleges and Universities.
All Independent Religious Institutions are not required to seek government oversight.
In other words, The Door of Favor Theological Seminary is given the right by the Florida State Department Of Education to operate Independently.
